During my internship with Cardiff Metropolitan’s in-house design team I met one my clients, Mr Walker. I was asked to create a possible label for a family-owned chutney which he intended to give away to family & friends on special occasions and with the possibility of selling them to a wider audience.
Nina Leigh’s No Nonsense Chutney needed to have flat graphics and make use of negative space. This striking composition allowed the natural colouring from the ingredients contrast against the label. The client was happy with the complementing script/san-serif typefaces and flat ingredients, he went on to request a further two designs for Chilli Jam and Onion Marmalade
